Rules Better Ball Pairs Stableford, with each team of four
playing as two separate pairs, each with another Team.
At the end of play, the better ball scores from the Team pairs are
added together to give a total score.
Maximum handicaps are 24 for gentlemen and 32 for ladies.
Ladies will play from
the ladies tee and no adjustments to the ladies handicaps will be made.
Current handicap certificates are required to be
produced on the day of participation.
Three-quarter handicaps apply.
Both a nearest the pin and longest drive
competition will be held at every event.
The holes for each of these competitions will be advised at
registration.
The winning team at each event to qualify to play in the Grand Final.
The second
placed team in every event will be invited to play at The London Club in a second place final, where the winning team (same rulings
as previous), will be awarded a 'lucky 12th' place at the South African Finals.
Prizes will be awarded to the top 3 teams at
all regional competitions as well as the final.
In the event of a tie, the team with the best better ball score will be the
winners.
In the event of a further tie, the team with the highest number of points scored on stroke index holes 1, 2, 3,
16, 17 & 18 by both pairs will be the winners.
The organisers will settle all decisions on the rules, and the team
captains will be required to sign prior to tee off, an acceptance of the rules as briefed by the Golf Director/Professional on the
day. Their decision is final.
Play will be in accordance with the Rules of Golf as laid down by the Royal & Ancient Golf
Club of St. Andrews.

Play will commence from the prescribed tee on the
day.
Please arrive for the first tee at least 10 minutes before your designated start time.
Penalty
for breach of Rule 6-3 is disqualification.
Play without 'undue delay' as Rule 6-7 will be enforced if
necessary.
Rounds should take no longer than 4 hours 30 minutes, and players are requested not to putt out if they cannot
contribute to their team score.
If, at any time, you play a ball which you think may end up lost or out of bounds, for speed
of play purposes, play a provisional ball - Rule 27.
Immediately after completing your round, thoroughly check, sign and
return your card to the championship official.
Penalty for breach of Rule 6-6b is disqualification.
Any discontinuance
of play will be governed by Rule 6-8 and notified by a continuous blast from a claxon.
